This is Alejandro’s computer, put together with the pieces of assorted other computers. He doesn’t have a box for it yet, but he thinks he can put some scraps together to construct one soon.
Because you cannot buy property in Cuba, most Cubans build multiple floors within the old houses (in many cases, former palaces from the “vaca gorda” years that were evacuated by the landowners during the first years of the Revolution and occupied by their servants and their families). These palaces (used to) have high ceilings. Ale’s project is to make a floor within a floor for his children and grandchildren.
