Hooding Ceremony

Being Knighted

My moment in the spotlight

Picnic

Jayhawks. Singing the Alma Matter. This was a beautiful afternoon picnic celebrating the graduation of Ashley, Boston Mike, and myself.

Beau made some amazing pork butt. Earlier on this blog, I claimed to have eaten the best food ever: some salmon smoked at an Indian reservation near Cape Flattery in Washington. I must say that this batch of Beau's pork butt rivals that smoked salmon. And I have eaten in a lot of places in this world. Ashley's family brought some homemade ice cream that went perfectly with the cake.

All in all, a good afternoon.

A Gathering

Celebration

We acted like we did when we were children. Amen.

I get by with a little help from my friends

Lawrence: Fox and the Blackbird

The fox and the blackbird are important symbolically for Kirsten and I.

Pre-wedding prep

The Beginning of the Service

The Moment

The Ring Bearers

Of course, Lupe and Marcos had to participate. Marcos seemed real proud of his job. Lu cried through most of the ceremony, overwhelmed by all the people and the moment.
