Krause Dining: Lawrence, Kansas

Krause Dining is one of the finest dining establishments in the United States. In an older residential neighborhood in Lawrence, the eatery looks like a simple house from the outside. Nevertheless, it has very intriguing architecture on the interior. The patio (in the picture) is lovely. There are multiple seating areas so diners may have some privacy. What really stood out about the experience was the excellent wine pairings for the 6-course meal, including a sweet muscat together with a foie gras on a french toast and raspberry compot. All in all, a very Lawrence experience in the sense that it was an escape from Kansas.
