I had a talk with a Kansas State Trooper after getting these shots. I pulled my car over on a small Kansas highway thinking that the sunset light was perfect to capture the sunflowers. I sprinted back to the car while the trooper took down the vitals on my little Honda. I told him that I was taking pictures and he asked me if I got any good shots. Maybe, I replied. They're facing in the wrong direction. Yeah, their heads are a bit heavy this late in the summer, he informed me. Well... have a nice day, he concluded. Thank you, officer.
