Las banderas y el Protestódromo

Cuba is very proud. It is the only place I’ve been where flags are even more ubiquitous than they are in the United States. This last photo shows the Plaza Anti-Imperialista, a place that has come to be known by Cubans as the Protestódromo (a loose translation of this Cubanism might come out as the “protest race track”). Many a Cuban has complained after being forced to leave work and go protest against the latest atrocity that the United States has committed. “Hoy nos toca protestar.” Great…again?!? No sarcasm intented.
