There is a tremendous amount of force involved with the cedar strips coming together at each end. Each strip needs to be carefully maneuvered into its spot. You can see everything is held in place with 20-pound monofilament fishing line and clamps. We have also put to use the canoe-carrying straps for the truck to hinge the strips together.
